Favorite worship song?

I picked up the new Chris Tomlin CD "Hello Love" yesterday. It's fantastic! Though I knew many of the songs from Passion Cd's, the ones I didn't know were just as good! As I was thinking about favorite songs off of this one and Hillsong's latest, it got me thinking. . . .

I have favorite worship songs- we all do. Most recently, I am loving "Hosanna" from Hillsong, "I Will Rise" and "Praise the Father, Praise the Son" from Tomlin, "Jesus Saves" from Travis Cotrell and Hillsong's "Worthy is The Lamb" (It's STILL a great song, no matter how often I sing it!)

I'm curious- what are your favorite worship songs and why?

Hmm. I love interactive, response-driven blogs.

Here we go. I have three, in different categories.
1. Having not come from a traditional (or existent) church background, I do poke fun at the cheesiness of some old-school hymns on a pretty regular basis. However, when I find one that is good, I feel like I have the advantage over someone who's known it forever, because it's still new. So my favorite old school song is 'Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing'. I think it's because most of the time, I'm upbeat and joyful when I sing to God, but there are some times where I feel like I just need to be more reverent, and this style of singing reflects that a bit better.
2. My favorite new-school acapella worship song is tied between 'Where Joy and Sorrow Meet' and 'For All You've Done'. Simple. Gorgeous. Each encompasses exactly how I feel... 'Oh cleanser of the mess I've made'... it speaks truth.
3. My favorite instrumental worship song is 'All Creatures of our God and King', particularly the version by Bethany Dillon and Shawn McDonald.

Hey there!
Right now, my favorite is "Mighty to Save" it's just pretty amazing.
I too and really fond of Hosanna, I will Rise and definately Praise the Father Praise the Son!!!

My all time Favorite is Worthy is the Lamb. The passion they bring out when singing it on that CD is absolutely amazing. If I have a million sngs to choose from, I still choose this one. By the time they go into to chorus for the final time, you can't help but be singing at the top of your lungs. And her solo....OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!! I get chills just thinking about it...and tears when singing it. I'm pretty pumped that we are singing it this Sunday too.

So, ours right now, are pretty much the same. But probably because the CD's just came out. ;o)

Poor Woody. Poor Neil. They're cut out of the picture! I never did respond to Vicki's article on this event that's pictured. Thanks for putting it into words Vicki! I felt the exact same way.... but could never be quite as eloquent.

Top 3: Hosanna, I Know My Redeemer Lives, You Never Let Go. And then there's the whole category I like to just listen to....... Steven Curtis Chapman, Watershed (and no - I'm not trying to make Brownie Points!!!) , and an oldy moldy CD Jim got at a Youth Rally by a group called Sweet Fellowship.

Also - Worthy is the Lamb is amazing. Sometimes I forget how powerful it is until I see a group respond to it that hasn't heard it yet (eg., the Interfaith service a couple of weeks back).
