Thanks for stopping by. I have an odd assortment of things here on my blog- from thoughts on faith to family pics. So, I hope you enjoy.

well, this nearly set me off on a rant about this being more evidence of the results of the long-standing secularization of our nation and the continued attack against Christianity and conservatism by the political/entertainment/press/education machines.... but.. *phew*...i'll just leave it with,"Lord help our nation..." (though the article didn't report that Louisiana was one of the few states to show an increase in Christians...)
oh yea - chris, how ya like our pic on the beach of durban?
actually, now that i got my initial smart-alec nature out the way... it saddens me to see our nation going down this road.. it reminds me that we (the Church) have a lot of work to do - right here in our own world - to be God's light, his hands and feet, right there at work, or school, or the mall, or wherever we find ourselves... and yea i'm up late waiting for a load of clothes to finish washing so i can throw em in the dryer and get to bed... *lol*
Love the picture by the way! I miss Africa something awful.
Yeah, this article is engraining what I have been thinking for some time now. We are truly entering into a post-Christian society much like Europe has already. We no longer have the "majority" on truth and morality. Can we even call ourselves "THE Christian Nation" any longer?
I think there is hope, though. Christianity caught on like wildfire in the early church. It was a grassroots movement that flew in the face of the popular Caesar worship of the day. It didn't need the support of the majority to be "The Light". I guess its time we need to return to our roots as a movement!

yea, when i said the Church needed to get busy - i really meant us - the body - the people.. not the institution... do something to affect your world.. teach someone how to affect their world.. and so forth.. i've often wondered how, as a worship leader, to get this across to the congregation - THAT is worship, much more so than what we do here in the building on Sunday morning...
